THE ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION ONTARIO PROVINCIAL COMMAND BRANCHES AND LADIES' AUXILIARIES CHARITABLE FOUNDATION PROVIDES FUNDING FOR TWO IV PUMPS AT SMGH

Bill Misner, President of Sir Arthur Currie Royal Canadian Legion Branch #116, presented the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital (SMGH) Foundation with a donation of $6,867.00 on March 1, 2017.

This donation will be used to purchase two new Intravenous (IV) Pumps at SMGH; one for the Intensive Care Unit, and one for the Emergency Department.  The devices deliver fluids, such as nutrients and medications, into a patient's body in controlled and accurate amounts.

The Royal Canadian Legion Charitable Foundation was conceived and implemented as a provincial initiative and remains a remarkable example of the good that can be done when the Branches and Ladies’ Auxiliaries combine their efforts. The grants are only made possible through the support of the Legion Branches and Auxiliaries. Since its inception, the Charitable Foundation has made grants in excess of $10 Million to the various hospitals, health clinics, and homes for the aged and charities for the communities across Ontario.
